This place has a fabulous, clean traditional atmosphere with a wonderful, very central location and really kind staff, close to cafes and bars.

The staff were friendly and good.The free limo service was very helpful

There were a lot of banging noises during the night - not sure what was causing them -- maybe water pipes? The bar was poorly stocked -- both draught beer taps were empty and a lot of the wines on the wine list were not available

the location is good and beautiful, 1 km from v&a waterfront shopping mall. it has an excellent bar and attentive and very helpful staff.

The location was great and brilliant with convenience stores and a grocery shop within walking distance. the restaurant was great for dinner with special dishes offered. the pool was heated, and I enjoyed non-alcoholic drinks at the rooftop bar.

The size of the rooms

Being upgraded to a two bedroom suite without a view. I had booked a one bedroom suite with a balcony with views of Table Mountain. Why would I prefer a second bedroom instead of views?

Receptionist was unfriendly and unprofessional. I was woken up 7h30 to authorise my creditcard! No apologies. Good value at discounted Booked.net tariff - otherwise expensive. windows on the small side. No "large balcony" as promised.

It was a great looking luxury hotel. Everyone was attentive. - the location was amazing: shopping centres and supermarkets were within walking distance. - Close to restaurants and a stadium.

Service a bit slow...toiletries disapeared from my room (cudnt be bothered making a complaint!) View was a bit obscure..wishes we had the sea and not the tradesmans entrance..oh well!

Both the concierge nd limosine services were excellent.

Staff came in to our suite to check use of minibar before we were awake on last day. Minor inconvience of no hot water one time and poor shower head. Hotel is aware of this and very respon sive in correcting the situation.

Room furnishings are cheap and not 5 star. Bed was very uncomfortable and too small (not 5 star) and not extra long as claimed in Booked.net description. Bedroom had poor lay-out and was quite cramped (with 65sqm why not make the bed/bedroom bigger?). We paid r1750, which wasn't bad, but the hotel is definitely not worth the full rate (there are many better options in Capetown for that price).

The staff was excellent and very attentive, especially Jeanine our butler really made an effort to make our stay as pleasant as possible. High quality amenities, furniture and great linen, very good mattrass. Very comfortable rooms, very clean all over the hotel. Pool on the roof top is very cosy with great double four poster beds. No complaints and highly recommended.

The room was comfortable, spacious, and tidy. The location was convenient and everything was within reach. The staff was friendly, helpful, and provided excellent service. The coffee machine was a nice touch.

Big problems with in-room internet connections. Took them 2 days to get it fixed, but it worked in the end.

The free 5km radius transport, didnt use it as we had hire car. but good to have on hand.

The room service was not the best for 5 stars. food was good and well prepared but didn’t taste much. Had room service a couple of times and was a bit disappointed. This is considering the fantastic food you can get in cape town. Apart from that great.
